Topographic Surveys
TOPOGRAPHIC SURVEYS
Topographic surveys are carried out using a combination of laser ‘Total Station’ instruments and differential GPS equipment. Based in Hampshire, our surveying services are available nationally, including London and the South East.
Shaw Colegate have undertaken topographic surveys ranging from individual garden plots to 100 acre private estates, business parks, shopping centres, schools and hospitals. We provided the full 3D ground and ‘wire framed’ building model of the QA Hospital site in Portsmouth.
Control on each site can be tied in to a local grid, or to OS National Grid coordinates in accordance with your requirements.
3D MODELLING
Basic ground models and 3 dimensional visualisations can be produced from survey information if required. Once generated the model is dimensionally accurate, and can therefore be used for area and volume calculations.

Area & volume information is useful for space management in your existing building, or for the calculation of permitted development on a new project proposal.

FLOOD RISK ASSESSMENT
Shaw Colegate offer levelling services for use in your flood risk assessment of a potential flood zone.
Using our differential GPS equipment, we can provide you with highly accurate level information at almost any given site location.
